MOTOMAMI+ (Clear DLX 2LP)

Released March 18, 2022 via Columbia, MOTOMAMI is ROSALÍA's third album and her hardest break from the flamenco of El Mal Querer. She made it with El Guincho, Noah Goldstein and Tainy among her producers, and it lurches between dembow, champeta, bachata, hip-hop and bare piano without warning. "SAOKO" opens on blown-out reggaeton, "LA FAMA" is a bachata duet with The Weeknd, "BIZCOCHITO" is over in under two minutes, and "HENTAI" puts one of her filthiest lyrics over a gentle piano ballad. The title welds moto to mami, the hard side of her to the soft one, and "SAOKO" and "HENTAI," two tracks apart, are the two halves in their purest form.

The deluxe MOTOMAMI+ followed on September 9, 2022, adding "DESPECHÁ," the summer hit that never made the original album, along with "LA KILIÉ," "AISLAMIENTO," a live "LA FAMA" from the Palau Sant Jordi and a "CANDY" remix with Chencho Corleone. MOTOMAMI scored 94 on Metacritic, the highest of 2022, won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, and took four Latin Grammys, Album of the Year among them.

2024 vinyl edition for the album's second anniversary: all 24 tracks on two clear LPs in a matte sleeve that mirrors the red MOTOMAMI+ cover, with an updated lyric booklet and a poster.
