And unlike his previous albums, the 16-track album stands out in the diversity of its genres. It shows a complete lack of fear from uncharted territories. It’s Hozier’s first album with co-writers, including Jeff Gitelman and Jennifer Decilveo, leading to his most refined sound yet.

But no Hozier body of work is complete without his lyricism, skyscraping vocals, social commentary, the mist-on-the-moor vibe, and the taste of the Irish culture that influenced his artistry the most.
