Eric Clapton's January 16, 1992 session at Bray Studios in Berkshire, recorded for MTV Unplugged and released that August on Reprise. The moment a guitar hero traded the wall of Marshall stacks for a wooden stool and walked out with six Grammys including Album of the Year. Recorded in a single afternoon, the album sold 26 million copies and rewrote what mainstream blues-rock could sound like.

"Layla" arrives stripped to a porch-blues shuffle. "Tears in Heaven" appears in its first widely released form. "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" reaches back to Bessie Smith and Eric Von Schmidt. For an album built on acoustic guitar attack, fingerpicking detail, and audience presence, the 180g vinyl pressing is the native medium.

  • Pressing: 2x12" 180g black vinyl, remastered.
