// Liner notes
The first vinyl release of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners score, the Netflix series named Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Released March 22, 2024 via Milan Records, this edition is pressed on 180 gram audiophile transparent marbled purple vinyl, in a cover with an original illustration by Studio TRIGGER, with a holographic obi strip and a 20pt insert.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is the hit Netflix anime series based on CD Projekt Red's video game Cyberpunk 2077, animated by Studio TRIGGER. It features a fantastic and upbeat score by acclaimed composer Akira Yamaoka, the name behind the Silent Hill franchise, with contributions from Marcin Przybyłowicz and P.T. Adamczyk.
Fourteen tracks run between two songs. Franz Ferdinand's "This Fffire," the series opening theme, starts side A, and Dawid Podsiadło's "Let You Down," the song that soundtracks the show's most devastating moments, closes side B. In between, "Modern Anthill," "Sudden Skirmish" and "Run to the Edge" carry the series between neon ambience and full-throttle action.
