Cigarettes After Sex (LP)

Released June 9, 2017: the self-titled debut studio album from Cigarettes After Sex, the project Greg Gonzalez had been building since 2008. Released via Partisan Records after nearly a decade of EPs, demos, and underground reverence, the record arrived fully formed.

Ten tracks of reverb-soaked dream pop, fixed-tempo intimacy, and Gonzalez's androgynous near-whisper. "Apocalypse" became the breakout single and one of the defining viral songs of the late-2010s internet. "Sunsetz," "Sweet," and "Each Time You Fall in Love" hold the album's mood from the inside. The blueprint that every subsequent Cigarettes After Sex record has refined.
