// Liner notes

It carries "Invasion," W&W's official anthem for the 550th episode of Armin van Buuren's radio show.

Released March 2012 via Armada Music, A State of Trance 2012 splits across two discs with two jobs. On the Beach runs warm, melodic and built for daylight. In the Club runs harder and faster, mixed for rooms. Armin van Buuren compiled and mixed both, as his radio show approached its 550th episode, and the set reached No. 2 in the Netherlands and No. 12 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Disc one turns on Roger Shah's remix of Sunlounger's "Try to Be Love" and van Buuren's own "Suddenly Summer." Disc two carries "Invasion," Gaia's "J'ai Envie de Toi" and John O'Callaghan's remix of Gareth Emery's "Concrete Angel." It closes on "Coming Home" by the Cairo duo Aly & Fila with singer Jwaydan.
